Yac is an app for asynchronous voice communication. Originally started as a Product Hunt competition, the product was eventually updated for commercial use and even backed by Slack.
I've worked with the team at Yac / SoFriendly for many years now, so when approached to create the logo design for Yac, I was excited. The idea behind the design was to try an include something very subtle that hints at audio or speech. The idea of the single quote mark was what we landed with, which is subtle, concise and unique..
The logo design was a success and the company found large investments from VC's and also Slack.
